TALLAHASSEE, FL – Today, the Daryl Parks campaign released the following statement in response to the latest false, Republican attack ad from Corey Simon.   

“Corey Simon can’t tell the truth about his own record because of how disastrous it is for North Florida families so he continues to lie about mine. Corey Simon has been a co-conspirator in the Republican agenda that has resulted in Florida becoming one of the most unaffordable states in the nation for working families while doling out millions in tax giveaways to wealthy corporations. 

Furthermore, Corey is about as good at managing his own finances as he is at telling the truth. No one who has filed for bankruptcy three times, had five liens for unpaid bills filed against him and run up over $80,000 in credit card debt should ever lie about someone else’s finances but that’s exactly what Corey Simon is trying to do to distract voters from his failures in office. 

My record is clear and I stand on the side of working families who have had enough of politicians like Corey Simon that only offer lies instead of solutions to the problems that would help average families get ahead. His dishonesty is shameful and the more Corey lies the more it underscores how few actual accomplishments he can speak of that benefit working families.”    

Parks has been a community leader, advocate, and outspoken voice for change for nearly 30 years. As a State Senator, Parks will prioritize fighting to lower costs for hardworking families, expanding access to quality affordable healthcare, ensuring women can make their own healthcare decisions and reversing the impacts of extreme policies supported by Simon that have prioritized culture wars ahead of the everyday needs and rising costs that are squeezing working families.
