North Florida families are struggling right now. And, politicians in our state capitol are not just ignoring us, they’re busy making things even worse. While state leaders have prioritized crazy culture wars like banning books and abortion, the cost of housing, insurance, gas, and groceries have skyrocketed. It’s past time that our state lawmakers put you and your family ahead of political games and tax breaks for big shots and big corporations.

Property & Auto Insurance

As Floridians face the highest property and auto insurance rates in the country, Corey Simon and his allies gave insurance companies billions of your tax dollars. Instead of reducing the outrageous property insurance premiums for small businesses and families, Simon voted to hand our tax dollars to the same companies that are gouging you and your neighbors. Instead of passing consumer-friendly policies or pushing auto insurers to drive down the cost of auto insurance, politicians in our state capitol have asked us to wait for rates to decrease over time. 

It’s past time for legislators to address this crisis. In the Florida Senate, I will outlaw these handouts and crack down on companies that illegally gouge you and your family. This will help North Florida families keep more of their hard-earned dollars.
